Time clock and payroll

Cutoff payroll

Time clock, timecards and semi-monthly payroll for small businesses in the Philippines, shown with a made-up bakeshop with three branches in Bulacan. Staff clock in on their phones, supervisors approve overtime, and one click turns the cutoff's timecards into payslips with SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG and withholding tax worked out.

What I built

  • Phone time clock with employee number and PIN, a location check against each branch's radius, and an optional photo. Punches from outside the area are flagged, not blocked
  • Timecards drawn as 24-hour shift timelines: lates with a grace period, undertime, overtime that's only paid once approved, night differential from 10 PM to 6 AM, rest days, and regular, special and double holidays at their DOLE rates
  • Payroll runs where every payslip line opens up to its arithmetic, down to the day. SSS with the MPF and EC, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG and the BIR semi-monthly tax table, each kept with the date it took effect, and minimum wage earners kept tax-exempt
  • Approving a run locks its timecards and takes loan payments; corrections void punches instead of editing them, with a history of who changed what
  • Monthly remittance reports per agency with CSVs, 13th month accrual, labor cost by branch, a bank credit file, and a page where employees see their payslips and file leave or overtime
